The Classic RN7 Route Through Southern Madagascar
The RN7 is one of Madagascar’s best-known overland routes and connects the Central Highlands with the south of the island. From Antananarivo, travellers typically continue through Antsirabe, Ambositra and Fianarantsoa before reaching the major natural attractions of southern Madagascar.
From there, the route can continue through Ranomafana, Ambalavao and Andringitra before reaching Isalo and eventually the southwest coast. This combination makes it possible to experience culture, rainforest, mountains, wildlife and beaches within a single journey.
